Sydney Swans
The Sydney Cricket Ground, more lovingly known as the SCG, is the home of the Sydney Swans AFL team. For supporters of the Sydney Swans Football Club, a trip to Sydney must include a visit to this historical site.
Although the Sydney Swans were originally a Melbourne based team, you'd never know it by the support they receive throughout New South Wales. Since their move north some 20 years ago, the SCG at Moore Park has seen plenty of red and white excitement.
If you're planning a visit to see your Sydney Swans go head to head with a rival AFL team, make sure you stay long enough to enjoy other nearby Sydney family attractions. The SCG is just a short walk from Paddington's famous Oxford Street entertainment precinct or a short bus ride to the city.
There is no shortage of accommodation nearby either. Public transport is by far the most convenient method of transport to and from the games, with Park and Ride venues available at train stations if you choose to stay further away from the SCG.
